A hiking route organised by the Tierra Tragame Club and the El Boalo, Cerceda, and Mataelpino City Hall. Those who participate will visit the lesser known and most beautiful landscapes of La Pedriza.
The CruzaPedriza is one of the great classics amongst the Sierra de Madrid routes, with different options for all levels and types of aficionados. Normally, there are two different lengths, the main route of 25 km and another of 17 km, and hikers can choose in the moment which one they want to take. In addition, there is a more familiar hike for beginners of 10 km to Camorza. It is ideal for families both because the characteristics and length of the route. It can be done both walking or running.
The Cruzapedriza starts at 942 metres in the Plaza de la Constitución in El Boalo and reaches 1900 metres, right at the base of La Maliciosa. Then it begins its descent alongside the beginning of the Manzanares river. For this reason, it is not advisable to hike it without high mountain equipment in winter. In summer, since the second half of the route goes alongside the river, the participants will always have water.
