Fall in love with the cheese! This activity is about making that people have a passion to artisanal cheeses, through a guided tasting that will analyse the following points:
- The taste profiles of each one of the cheeses that are served: brief introduction to the sensorial analysis.
- The history of each cheese: individual and personal identity of the cheeses, technologies, livestock breeds, type of milk, farmhouse where the cheese was prepared… All of this, emphasizing the importance to consume local products.
- Experience of being an “expert cheese taster” for one day.
It will taste a selection of 8 artisanal cheeses prepared across the entire Sierra (Maliciosa, Embrujo de la Sierra, Alimentos de Miraflores, Castilla Verde, Cabezuela…), as well as craft beers from the Sierra de Guadarrama (Gabarrera and La Pedriza) and homemade bread.
Material that will be distribute to the “cheese tasters”: a tri-fold pamphlet with the description of each cheese eaten and a profile sheet to introduce briefly the sensorial analysis of cheeses.
Day: Saturday, February 17th
Timetable: 11:30 a.m. – 13:30 p.m.
Place: ValleInnova Centre. Administration Building. Plaza Mayor, 4. Cerceda (Madrid).
Price: € 6 per person / € 5 per person for families with more than 2 members and retired people.
